West Virginia is well known for being "Wild and Wonderful." We are a tourist destination for individuals and families from all over the country. The North Central West Virginia Airport is a gateway for those with interests ranging from whitewater rafting, skiing and mountain biking to fly fishing and heritage travel.
The region is also home to championship golf. In December of 2003, the PGA TOUR announced that West Virginia would host a new Nationwide Tour event at the Pete Dye Golf Club. Four years after that announcement, the NMA Pete Dye Classic is considered one of the premier events on the Tour. The North Central West Virginia Airport provides tournament competitors and golf enthusiasts with convenient access to the course!
Other renown golf courses at Stonewall Resort and State Park, Snowshoe Mountain Resort, and Canaan Valley Resort are just a short drive from the airport.
